

I pan seared a couple of Sockeye salmon fillets tonite… John went a different direction with his, but I covered mine in this new Dijon Maple sauce recipe. Amazing!
Dijon Maple Salmon Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (divided)
- 4 (4 oz) skin-on Sockeye salmon fillets (if frozen, defrost in fridge overnight first)
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp round black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat on stovetop.
- Add 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil and heat.
- Add salmon filets – skin side up – and cook until they have a golden and crisp bottom, about 5 mins.
- Flip filets and reduce heat to medium.
- Continue cooking until cooked through to your preference, about 5 mins for us.
- In a small bowl, make sauce by whisking together 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup, 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, and 1/4 tsp kosher salt.
- Heat a small skillet over medium-low heat on stovetop.
- Add sauce to heated skillet and cook, whisking constantly for 2 mins, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Plate cooked salmon fillets and top equally with sauce.
