Agave Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal

My revamped IP recipe makes 4 meal-size servings (1 cup each) or 12 snack-size (1/3 cup each) servings. Great for meal prepping!

I’ve missed my McCann’s!

TIP: Boost your oatmeal nutrition by adding 4 scoops collagen powder and 2 Tbsp chia seeds in Step 1! Chia seeds contribute fiber, omega-3’s, and antioxidants, while collagen powder adds protein to support skin, hair, joint, and gut health.

Top a meal-size serving with…

  • chia & flax seeds, slivered almonds, and strawberries, plus about 1/2 cup of Fairlife fat free milk
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter, 2 Tbsp slivered almonds, and 1/2 banana (sliced), plus about 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk

Ingredients
Directions
  1. Add to Instant Pot’s inner pot: 1 cup oats, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups unsweetened almond milk, and 2 cups water, then stir to mix well – try to keep as much cinnamon as possible in the liquid instead of on the walls of the inner pot.
  2. Secure lid, setting valve to SEAL.
  3. Select PRESSURE COOK (or MANUAL) for 7 mins.
  4. Once cooking cycle ends, select CANCEL and allow a natural release (NR). In my 8-qt IP, the pressure pin will drop somewhere around the 10-min mark from when the cooking cycle ended.
  5. Remove lid (away from you) and set aside.
  6. Stir in 3 Tbsp agave syrup, until well-blended.
  7. Serve warm or portion out and refrigerate. To reheat, loosely cover and microwave (in an 1100 watt microwave for about 1 min 30 secs). Add milk of choice, if desired, to loosen oats and stir until desired smoothness.
