These fries are crispy on the edges, perfectly spiced, and ridiculously easy to make! The key to crispy sweet potato fries? High heat and a good toss in olive oil. Baking at 400° F ensures they caramelize beautifully while staying crispy on the edges.

With a blend of garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper, every bite is a perfect mix of savory, smoky, and slightly sweet goodness. Made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients, these fries are packed with fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Line baking sheet(s) with parchment paper, then set aside.
  3. Wash and peel 2 lbs sweet potatoes.
  4. Cut potatoes into about 1/4″ to 1/2″ slices about 3″ long. Think “French fry” size. Mine pictured above were the 1/2″ version.
  5. In a gallon-size Ziplock bag, toss potato slices in 2 Tbsp EVOO until well-coated.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt, and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper.
  7. Add seasoning mixture to EVOO-coated potato slices and toss until evenly coated.
  8. Spread seasoned potato slices on prepared baking sheet(s) in one layer.
  9. Bake about 15 mins, until brown and crisp on the bottoms.
  10. Remove from oven and flip.
  11. Return to oven and cook about 10 mins more until crisp.
  12. Serve immediately.
