Needed a new shrimp dish so crafted this bit of spice and nice tonight.

Shrimp sauteed in lemon juice, garlic, and paprika – kicked up with black pepper and crushed red pepper. Yum!

John says I can make this one any time I want. 😋

Camarones Españoles (Spanish Shrimp) Recipe

Print Recipe
Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled | deveined | tail off
  • 4 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
Directions
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat on stovetop.
  2. Add melted 1 Tbsp extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, 4 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper.
  3. Sauté for 3 mins, until fragrant.
  4. Add 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, and 1/4 tsp sea salt then sauté for 1 min.
  5. Add peeled and deveined 1 lb large shrimp and cook until bright pink and opaque – this took us almost 8 mins. The time it takes should thicken the sauce. If you want your sauce even thicker, plate shrimp and keep warm (e.g., in microwave) and simmer sauce for a few mins more to thicken to desired thickness.
