Needed a new shrimp dish so crafted this bit of spice and nice tonight.
Shrimp sauteed in lemon juice, garlic, and paprika – kicked up with black pepper and crushed red pepper. Yum!
John says I can make this one any time I want.
Camarones Españoles (Spanish Shrimp) Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled | deveined | tail off
- 4 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat on stovetop.
- Add melted 1 Tbsp extra virgin unrefined coconut oil, 4 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper.
- Sauté for 3 mins, until fragrant.
- Add 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, and 1/4 tsp sea salt then sauté for 1 min.
- Add peeled and deveined 1 lb large shrimp and cook until bright pink and opaque – this took us almost 8 mins. The time it takes should thicken the sauce. If you want your sauce even thicker, plate shrimp and keep warm (e.g., in microwave) and simmer sauce for a few mins more to thicken to desired thickness.
