π₯ Ways to Melt Cheese on Your Sandwich
π₯ͺ Microwave (Quickest)
- Assemble the sandwich and place it on a microwave-safe plate.
- Heat in 10β15 second bursts until the cheese is just starting to melt.
(Cover with a paper towel to avoid splatters.)
π³ Skillet + Lid (Best for Crispy Bottom)
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
- Place the assembled sandwich in the pan.
- Cover with a lid (or an inverted heat-safe bowl).
- Heat 1β2 mins, just until the cheese melts and the bottom crisps lightly.
β¨οΈ Steam Trick (Keeps Bread Soft)
- Place sandwich in a skillet on low heat.
- Sprinkle a few drops of water around (not on) the sandwich.
- Cover immediately with a lid.
- Heat 1β2 mins β the steam gently melts the cheese without over-toasting.
π Toaster Oven / Air Fryer
- Heat toaster oven or air fryer to 325β350Β°F.
- Warm the sandwich 2β3 mins until the cheese melts.
(Keep an eye on it so the muffin doesnβt get too crunchy.)

- Wrap sandwich in foil.
- Broil for up to 3 mins.
Egg White Delite Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 whole wheat English muffin
- 4 Tbsp liquid egg whites (about 2 egg whites)
- 1/16 ground black pepper
- 1/16 tsp kosher salt
- 2 slices Canadian bacon
- 1 slice extra sharp white cheddar cheese
Directions
- Pan fry 2 Canadian bacon slices according to package instructions.
- Pour egg whites into a small mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle 1/16 tsp ground black pepper and 1/16 tsp kosher salt into the egg whites.
- Whisk the seasoned egg whites until they are frothy.
- Pour frothy egg white mixture into a microwave-safe bowl, approximately the size of the muffin – I use a 4 oz ramekin – and microwave for approximately 1 min + 20 secs.
- Slice the English muffin in half and toast in a toaster (or toaster oven) to desired toastiness. I keep mine in the fridge and typically toast for 2 mins.
- Layer the cooked egg whites, pan-fried Canadian bacon slices, and extra sharp white Cheddar cheese slice on the bottom half of the English muffin, then top with the other muffin half.
