I like using a silicone spatula to kind of mash all of the ingredients together. Then it makes it really easy to get all of the mixture out of the bowl and onto the wrap to refrigerate!

TIPS: Make this recipe Paleo or Whole30 by subbing out the butter for ghee. Make it OvoVege or Vegan by subbing out the butter for a vegan butter without trans fats and w/ an avocado oil or olive oil base.
Garlic Herb Butter Compound Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic, finely minced
- 2/3 tsp dried basil
- 1/3 tsp dried parsley
- 1/3 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients (6 Tbsp softened butter, 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic, 2/3 tsp basil, 1/3 tsp parsley, 1/3 tsp thyme, and 1/4 tsp salt) until well combined. I like to use a small rubber spatula in a stainless steel bowl for this step.
- Place the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and form into a log.
- Wrap tightly and place inside the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to firm. If you leave it in too long, you’ll probably have to soften a bit to cut easily.
