Lemon Butter Baked Tilapia Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 5 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 1/2 lemon (divided: 1 lemon sliced, 1/2 lemon zested and juiced)
- Garnish: fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper then set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together 5 Tbsp melted butter, 2 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper, and zest and juice from 1/2 lemon.
- Sprinkle 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets evenly with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
- Transfer seasoned fillets to prepared baking sheet.
- Use a pastry brush to top fillets with lemon butter sauce.
- Lay lemon slices on each fillet.
- Bake 18 – 20 mins.
- Plate, pour lemon butter sauce over fillets, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
