Lemon Butter Baked Tilapia Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 5 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 lemon (divided: 1 lemon sliced, 1/2 lemon zested and juiced)
  • Garnish: fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
  2. Line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper then set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together 5 Tbsp melted butter, 2 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper, and zest and juice from 1/2 lemon.
  4. Sprinkle 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets evenly with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
  5. Transfer seasoned fillets to prepared baking sheet.
  6. Use a pastry brush to top fillets with lemon butter sauce.
  7. Lay lemon slices on each fillet.
  8. Bake 18 – 20 mins.
  9. Plate, pour lemon butter sauce over fillets, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
