I love, love, LOVE sesame dressing but can only ever seem to find store-bought (or even online recipes) that are heavy on ginger, which is not the flavor I’m looking for. I’ve FINALLY perfected (after MANY attempts) my own recipe with a bit o’ spice. ๐ŸŽ‰

Now, I have the final component for my Sesame Crunch Salad here… at last.

Tonite, I topped each serving with 3 oz of my Garlic S&P Chicken Tenders. Yum-o!!!

I only wish I had the macro/calories allotment for at least another serving. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹

Sesame Crunch Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 oz baby spinach & butter lettuce blend
  • 6 green onions, sliced (green & white parts)
  • 2 cups (98 g) wonton strips
  • 1 cup (110 g) shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup (43 g) sliced unsalted almonds
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp lime juiceย 
  • 2 tsp (9 g) light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (0.2 g) crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2.4 g) kosher salt
Directions
  1. In a large bowl, add 5 oz baby spinach & butter lettuce blend.
  2. In a small bowl make sesame dressing by whisking together 3 Tbsp sesame oil, 2 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar, 1 Tbsp lime juice, 2 tsp light brown sugar, 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper, and 1/2 tsp kosher salt.
  3. Drizzle with sesame dressing and toss.
  4. Top with quadrants of sliced 6 green onions, 2 cups wonton strips, 1 cup shredded carrots, and 1/2 cup sliced unsalted almonds – then gently toss until all ingredients are well-coated in dressing.
