The BEST Snickerdoodles EVER, IMO. Oh my yum!!!
These were probably my favorite type of cookies in childhood. And I’m not the only one!!!
Snickerdoodles Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 330 g (2 3/4 cups) all purpose flour
- 300 g (1 1/2 cups) + 66.7 g (1/3 cups) granulated sugar, divided (300 g for batter, 66.7 g for rolling)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to 64◦ F
- 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Directions
- Line baking sheet(s) with parchment paper then set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 330 g all purpose flour, 2 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp sea salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together 300 g granulated sugar and 1 cup 64◦ F butter on high speed.
- Add 2 large eggs and 1 tsp pure vanilla extract then mix until well blended.
- Slowly add flour mixture while beating on low speed, until well combined.
- In a small bowl, whisk together remaining 66.7 g sugar with 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon.
- Scoop or roll dough into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat each one. I like to use a 2-Tbsp cookie scoop.
- Place coated dough balls at least 2″ apart on baking sheet. I did NOT space mine enough from batch in pic above so you can see where some of them have flat edges!
- Bake for 8 mins. They won’t necessarily look like they’re done, but they’ll continue to firm from residual heat once removed from oven.
- Once removed from oven, allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to fully cool.
