

This recipe can easily be scaled up for larger amounts of croutons, but (at the quantities listed below) it is enough to serve with 3 appetizer salads.
Sourdough Croutons Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 oz sourdough bread, cut into 1/2″ cubes
- 2 3/4 tsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning (see my Nearly Italian Seasoning recipe)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- 1/16 ground black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, then set aside.
- In a medium bowl, toss cubed 2 oz sourdough bread with 2 3/4 tsp EVOO.
- Add 1/2 tsp Nearly Italian Seasoning, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/8 tsp sea salt, and 1/16 ground black pepper, then toss until well-combined.
- Spread seasoned sourdough cubes on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake on top rack of oven 15 mins, until golden brown, *flipping* once halfway through.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving or storing (in an air-tight container for up to 1 week).
