Print Recipe
Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb fresh, whole green beans, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 10 g (2 tsp) minced garlic
  • 8 g (1 tsp) pink Himalayan salt, divided
  • 1/16 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
  1. Fill a large stock pot about 1/2 way w/ water.
  2. Add 6 g (3/4 tsp) pink Himalayan salt.
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat on stovetop.
  4. Add 1/2 lb trimmed fresh green beans.
  5. Blanch (fancy word for the cooking we’re doing here!) for 4 mins.
  6. Drain blanched beans then rinse under cold water and set aside.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat on stovetop.
  8. Add 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil and heat.
  9. Shake any remaining excess water from beans then transfer them to skillet.
  10. Add 10 g (2 tsp) minced garlic and toss (I use tongs for this) for 1-2 mins, until garlic is toasted golden.
  11. Remove from heat and add remaining 2 g (1/4 tsp) pink Himalayan salt and 1/16 tsp ground black pepper, then toss together before serving.
