TIPS: You can use a smaller ham, if desired. However, if you go less than 7 lbs, you may want to decrease the other ingredient quantities.

Island Baked Ham Recipe

Ingredients
  • 9 lb spiral-cut ham (fully cooked)
  • 20 oz crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
Directions
  1. Remove 9 lb ham from refrigerator allow to sit at room temperature for 2 hrs.
  2. Toward end of the 2 hrs, preheat oven to 325 F.
  3. Unpackage ham (removing all plastic pieces) and place in large casserole dish or 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup light brown sugar, 1 Tbsp ground mustard, and 1/2 tsp ground cloves.
  5. Pour the mixture over the top of ham, rubbing into the slices and over top and sides.
  6. Cover (use aluminum foil if not using a dish with a fitting lid).
  7. Bake 1 1/2 hrs – until internal temp reaches over 140 F – basting with juices at least every 30 mins.
  8. Remove from oven and baste with juices, then allow to rest until comes up to 140 F before serving.
